Easiest Digging!
More Crystals!
crystal_1_front.JPG (12989 bytes)

THE TREASURE MOUNTAIN DIAMOND MINE IS TEMPORAIRILY CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

The road is clear, the snow is melted and we're ready for another great season! The spring weather is great for digging, and the cold winter has probably split more rock than any collector could, making the digging esier than ever. So what are your waiting for - come on down!

href="ftp://treasuremt:crystal@treasuremt.com/treasuremt/tmdirections.htm">weather information), is perfect for digging. And, since we have the easiest digging, the most crystals and the best location, Treasure Mountain is the best place to visit!

Last year we completed improvements on the last quarter mile of gravel road leading to the mine, so now you can drive all the way down to the mine - rain or shine! Future plans include rest rooms adjacent to the mine, a larger gift shop and a full facility campground (we had hoped to have this started last year, but permit problems help us up). Other possibilities include a miniature golf course, gold and gem panning, horseback riding, and more.

So make your plans and come on over. The weather is perfect for digging! Our goal is to make Treasure Mountain your favorite digging destination, and our mission is to bring a smile to every visitor's face.

If you have any questions, please contact us by e-mail at info@TreasureMt.com.

Looking forward to seeing you at the mine,

Bob Borofsky, President & Owner
Dino Zampini, Owner
Stephen Mahlum, Owner
Chris Phetteplace, Mine Manager

crystal_2_front.JPG (14955 bytes)Treasure Mountain Diamond Mine is 270 acres of beautiful fields and woodlands where visitors may prospect for Little Falls "Diamonds" (some people call them Herkimer "Diamonds").These are beautifully formed quartz crystals that are hundreds of millions of years old. Because they look like a faceted gem when they are found, they were originally thought to be real diamonds. They are nevertheless fabulous works of nature's art that should be treasured for their own stunning beauty.

We are also very fortunate to have on our property what are called scepter "diamonds", such as those pictured on this page. These are particularly beautiful and valuable because of the contrasting crystal forms and the complexity of the crystal structure.
